We now know that successful couples have the same number of disagreements as couples that get divorced.

It may surprise you to know that all couples disagree about the same issues: money, sex, housework, time, kids, and the in-laws.

What's the answer to this constant conflict about our differences?

The major advantage couples with successful marriages have is in how they handle their differences.

First Things First of Gaston County (FTFGC) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening marriages and families through education, collaboration with like-minded organizations, and mobilization of members of our community.

FTFGC is your community resource that collaborates with and is supported by a broad cross-section of community organizations, groups and individuals.

There are many different opportunities for you to participate in FTFGC activities.

 You can attend a Marriage Education Retreat, you can volunteer in our office or at one of our events, or you can make a financial contribution to show your support for marriages in Gaston County. Contributions are tax deductible.
